Title: Baby Allergy Skin tests????

Just wondering if anyone's lo's have had one of these tests lately?  DS is going to have one as soon as I can get an appt.  When I had my allergy test it was a bunch of pricks on the arm and liquid put in the pricks.  :(  I have heard that they don't do it like that anymore and it is less painful!  :)  I was just wondering if someone could tell me what to expect ... will it hurt my baby (probably bother me more than him  ::) ;))

Ds had this around the same age as your lo. They used the skin prick test for him. He had them tested on his back and did amazingly well. I would bring his "lovey" if he has one and some kind of squeaky toy to distract him when they are doing the initial poking. Good luck. Hope the results are good.

My DD just had her skin tests done and she was most fascinated by what he was doing to her arms.  She didn't even whimper.  I was expecting so much worse but really she was fine - much better than me!  She is 9 mo.  Hope it's ok for your lo too.
