Title: Concerned...... but should I be?
Post by: Clairebear on February 02, 2006, 20:28:19 pm
:)My son is 7months old and has just started his 3rd solid feed each day. He loves most fruit and vege's so we are lucky. He has been breastfed until about 4 weeks ago. He now has 1 formula feed a day due to my work. What I worry about is that now I can see how much he is drinking, usually only between 100-150ml a feed(every 4 hours or so), I get concerned this is not enough. My husband and family say not to worry as he is healthy and happy .... is this a normal happening or am I being a paranoid first time Mum?

I'm not hugely brilliant at maths but I know that when a baby is between 6 and 12 months they should be taking about 20oz of milk a day (I think that's 600ml?) So he's probably about right I would say :)
