Hi
It's 5:30 am and I've been up for 3 hours...and my lo (9 mos) won't go back to sleep. I've tried PU/PD, patting him, sitting with him...he's seems calm so I leave the room but he starts to cry again. He's recently gotten over a cold. He slept well when he was sick and now these last few nights he's been waking around 1:30 - 2:30 am crying. It's frustrating me to hear him cry because I don't know what I can do for him to help him get back to sleep. Why won't he fall back to sleep after being awake for so long? ???
Help....

i had that same sort of problem with my almost 9mo a couple of weeks ago... turned out he had a double ear infection, have you tried pain meds & a trip to the Dr. Often they are ok during the day it is only at night after they have been lying down for a while that their ears start to get sore & so they can't sleep, but because it is high "separataion anxiety" age, they want you there.
just a thought
