Title: Breastmilk in the bottle and formula
Post by: anthonysmommy on April 01, 2006, 22:46:20 pm
My DS is two months old and i am feeding him about 16 ounces of breastmilk in a bottle as well as 16 ounces of formula each day.  I pump 2x a day and that's where the 16 ounces comes from.  I was wondering if there was anyone else who did this.  He is still waking up at 2am to eat, and doesn't go to sleep until 10pm.  I was wondering if maybe the breastmilk wasn't filling him up enough.  The past couple of days he has been eating every 2 hours during the day, I would feed him more at his regular feedings but I can't get him to take more than 4 ounces.  I would appreciate any advice, or similar situations.  Thanks:)

Hi
At  2 months it is absolutely normal for LO's to continue their daytime eating cycle throughout the night. The erratic feeding may be due to a growth spurt  ???
