Title: baby is allergic to something I am eating
Post by: 2fuzzbutts on June 04, 2006, 12:45:37 pm
My baby has been reacting to something I am eating and I would like some help figuring it out. He is still totally BF and I was going to start banana this week because he is now 6 months but I may hold out until I figure out what it is that is bothering him that I am eating. He is allergic to strawberries, is there other stoff related to it that may be the culprit?
Are fresh tomatoes likely to bother him and not cooked(canned) tomatoes? How long will his rash last if I eliminate the food from my diet? I have also had fresh carrots (have had cooked ones and he seemed fine), cucumber, and a bunch of different types of lettuce/greens.

Thanks!

I think fresh tomatoes can cause a reaction that you might not see with cooked.  I think I would skip them and see how he does.  Also skip starting a new food on him until any reaction is gone.
