Title: preventing night wakings
Post by: courtneyandmiles on June 04, 2006, 14:56:32 pm
Recently went on a trip while trying to wean 8 mo. old of df (down to 8:30). She invariably will wake once when I'm trying to wean her of df (tried to wean before).  My question is, once they wake to eat, what do you do the next day and night.  You have to feed a hungry baby, right?  So you feed them more the next day.  But what if they wake again?  After how many nights does it become accid. parenting?  once they wake up hungry, won't they do it again and make it a habit?  My Dd is waking at different times to be fed after returning from our trip.  she's bf.

Anybody w/ some tips for preventing night wakings after they've already started?

Does she wake at the same time each night? If so, then give Wake to Sleep a try.

thanks for your reply! i got serious on Sunday and fed the heck out of her and got all her naps in w/ a 7:00 bedtime and 10:00 df, and she made it through 'til 6:45.  Boy, does my girl need a routine!
