Title: EASY and Outings?
Post by: nattymarsh on June 04, 2006, 23:48:46 pm
Hi all, I'm planning on starting EASY with my 5 month old (just found out about the BW...wish I had know about it earlier!) and I have a quesstion about where outings fit into the routine.  My confusion comes from the fact that I live in a rural area so if I go anywhere (i.e. grocery store, nanny's house) it is a long enough drive that my DD falls asleep in the car...but it is definitely not long enough for a nap.  Usually she would get anywhere from 15-20 minutes of sleep.  So where do I fit in the outings?  During the "A" as she is only sleeping for the time in the car, or during the "S" because she is sleeping in the car?

Hi, and welcome to BW.
Clink on this link and see if the info in this post helps.  If not, write back and we'll see what else we can come up with.

Hi ya,

Once your on EASY you will hopefully find that your lo will get used to what time they sleep and because they are more alert in the activity time even if your in the car they will be awake. My DS has got used now to falling asleep roughly at the same time each day and in his cot He will only fall asleep in the car if it's towards the end of the activity and he's due a sleep.

HTH.
