My DD is a Grumpy baby (with a bit of Touchiness too). I read what tracy said about them, and how to calm them. My baby does certainly HATE to be swaddled unless she's really sleepy, then she doensn 't mind. Given that swaddling is key to the 4S method, how else am I to put her to sleep? Trouble is she does still flail her arms about so I can't really leave her unswaddled. And, when she's angry, and I hold her against me, she screams and buckles her body down to try to get away from me. It's very frustrating.
Has anyone had any experience with how to calm a grumpy baby?
