Title: 13 month old and dropping bottles
Post by: allyson on July 19, 2006, 13:04:44 pm
My 13 month old usually gets 4 bottles a day. she puts herself to sleep on her own in her crib fine, but I usually give her a bottle in her room before her naps tp wind her down. so she drinks water from any sippy cup, but will only take milk from the NUBY that resembels a bottle. my question is I used to give her milk in her bottles between meals. and now she is used to that and does not drink milk at her meal times.

is this a problem??

so today I woke up and instead of giving her a bottle I gave her milk in her Nuby and she took 5 ounces :)

and before her nap I gave her a snack and some more milk in another room of the house then brought her to her room read to her and put her down. should I do this and drop a bottle a week? or just do this and get rid of them cold turkey?????? I really want to do this and get her off bottles, but I want to do it the right way. I am sure it will be an adjustment for her and me..
