i keep trying and trying but i cant get my avatar to come up i have tried new ones and the old ones pls help someone

someone posted this before and i think the advice was to keep trying it will upload eventually ! normally i can see those that say they have no avatar but i don't see yours

I'm having a similar problem....I can't change my avatar. I'll keep trying to upload and see if it works  :P

Can you see anybody's avatar?  It might help to clear out your temp. internet files/cache and see if that makes a difference, also run a spyware/adware check of your system.

When uploading your picture is it then showing in your profile?  To upload an avatar it has to be less than 90pixels wide and 165 pixels high and have a file size less than 100k, are you meeting those requirements?

Silly me....i kept trying to upload...won't work! So I tried one of the generic pics (Brad Pitt ha, ha) and it came up. When I tried to upload one of my own again...no avatar  :( This is beginning to bug me!

Are you meeting the requirements I posted above?  The system will not auto-resize avatar pics at the moment.

Thanx Gareth....my file sizes are too big. They worked before but since the server is not auto resizing, I'm out of luck. Do u have any idea of when the server will be auto resizing again...all my pics are too large in size  :P

No idea yet, but there is a link in the photo gallery for a resizer you can download, I don't have personal experience of it though :)

Either that or send pics to me and I will resize them for you if you tell me what you want them for.. either just to incude in posts or for an avatar..
