I'm still recording my daughters feeds, sleeps, diapers, etc. in a modified EASY Log. I don't know how to stop .. :-[
Wondering how long everyone else did it for?

I still do it for #2 and with #1 I did it for quite a while. I found that then we could keep track of all sorts of things. IF he hadn't pooped for a few days or what time you gave him meds (or maybe I am just a control freak ;))

I am still recording as well :-[

I stopped recording pretty early, after 3 weeks or so. dd's a textbook baby [with some angel inside :)] and once we've set a routine for her she's quite "regular" with it. besides, it was hard for me to keep a log, I'm not so organized :'(

::) am still recording , even bought a small hardback notebook with me on hols to record ::)
Apart from it being habit by now, I always think well if something happened, like I had to go to hospital suddenly or whatever , whoever is taking care of dd can just have a look and see how her general day goes and what she eats and when. At the moment there is a lot of nappy info going in there too as we will probably soon tackle toilet training.

i stopped at 4MO, 'cause at that age DS was having a very regular EASY so, i figured, why keep recording... of course from then to now, the EASy has changed drastically but i didn't record again, although sometimes i wish i had kept at it 'cause i think its really nice to be abble to go back and look at what he was doing...

I stopped at 7 months, then started again at 10 months, as she was going through a major change, still doing it now but only twice a week.

I still do it. i love it because when something happens -- like short naps, night wakings, etc. -- I can look at my logs & usually puzzle out why. I've also really like it once we've started solids. It helps me see how much he's eating, if it's increasing, how his formula intake is, etc.
I think how long you do it depends on your personality. I bet if someone wanted to do a poll, you'd find that people who record are on one end of the spectrum Tracy talks about in her book (I think she called it "Wingers & Planners") and those who quit early are on the other end! I'm a Planner, so I enjoy recording!

I stopped around a year. But I kep my notebook. :) I go back and relive those early days through it. We were trying to figure out what I was eating that was affecting him (it was dairy and chocolate ;D).
I still record when John gets sick. I track what he eats, drinks, fevers, meds, when he goes to the bathroom, vomits, how he feels and sleeps. This is priceless if we end up at the doctor or if I have to call them. I can just hand him my notes. Sometimes they even add copies of them to his medical chart.
