dd drinks really well from a cup, sippy or regular, but she just doesn't want to hold it and drink herself...should i be worried
thanx

At 10 months i wouldn't be worried at all .It's great that she is drinking out of a cup .

We are going through something similar.
DS is nearly 14 months old and refuses point blank to hold his own bottle. He holds his sippy really well, but when I try to get him to hold his own bottle, he just gets really angry and starts pushing the bottle or throwing in at gets in a mood.
My guess is they will hold them when they are ready. I just think of it that I still get to have a cuddle with him while he is having his bottles. ;D

Tomtoms mum
Sasha is exactly the same. holds her straw cup great even if its completely full.but will not hold her btl except to shake it about LOL. i think she just likes the cuddle time that she gets with the btl ;D

LOL, That is what Thomas does - he will take a sip out of it and either hand it back to me or shake it about so the milk goes everywhere :-\

My DD never held her own bottle and was interested in holding her own cup until the day she turned 1 she just took the cup and started drinking on her own. She is a champ at it now and gets upset if we try to hold the cup for her. I agree with pp i wouldn't worry to much at 10months.

Calum drinks himself from a straw and sippy cup (but I had to remove the handles), but when I give him a bottle he shakes it about and doesn't drink unless I hold it.
