Title: If I don't want to follow anymore

Ok, sorry about title, I didn't know how to word it, but if I no longer want to follow a thread that I have replied to, is there any way that I can stop it showing when I click 'show new replies to your posts' ? 
I don't mind, but sometimes, if I haven't been online for ages then I have loads to go through and some I no longer have interest in (I don't want to be rude and say which ones, sorry!!)

Click on Profile, the Notifications and Email and uncheck the ones you no longer are interested in. This works for email only for some odd reason. I still receive for another topic (ok, I'll be honest, it's a game) that I don't want to see anymore. Let me know if you figure that out!
