getting onto the site :( :(
For the last few days I have not been able to get in as it takes ages to load up and then sometimes it comes up with the message network busy!
Then when i do get on it is taking ages to open posts so i give up :(
just wondered if it was the site or my computer ??? even opening this forum has taken me 6mins!!!! so i have no idea if this is going to post or not!!
anyway gareth HELP!!!!! i miss my BW daily fix ::)

It's very very slow here, too. It got better yesterday though. Mozilla keeps telling me connection timed out as well...

hmmmm everything seems ok here for a change.....gremlins in the works maybe? ;)

I've been fine the last couple of days.

I'm having problems too and have done for over a week now .I have run all programmes on comp and done the emtying of files/cookies/cache but stil no better

I've had problems opening large posts (i.e.those with lots of pages) - they seem to have taken forever or eventually timed out, but I've had no problems so far today (touch wood!)

ok this is the 1st time i have been able to get on since yesterday morning :(
i've cleaned out my temporary files and cookies etc and its still the same ??? is it the site or my pc i've had no problems opening any other webpages.....
it is taking ages to open the site then i get timed out and if i do get in it takes forever to open posts etc...just trying to come on here has taken ages :(
if anyone 'see's' gareth about send out an SOS from me please ;) ;D ;D
nicola if you are reading this sorry i haven't been around much but as you can tell i'm having a nightmare :o

You can try forcing your cookies to refresh by clicking F5 when you're on the site, it sounds like your cache has corrupted slightly and is holding an old version of the site from several days ago. If you're not doing so already, remember to close all open instances of your browser when deleting cookies, and then leaving it several seconds before opening it again. Something else to try would be uninstalling/reinstalling your modem or router, these often cause connection problems.
I also recommend using another browser if you don't already, if you download and install Mozilla's Firefox you can use that to see if you can connect to the site.
If none of those options work then I will leave instructions on how to flush your computer's dns cache.

Mozilla Firefox is an alternative to Internet Explorer. As a rule it's a faster and safer web browser than Internet Explorer but some people find it takes some getting used to, I would def. recommend giving it a go if you have it already :)
Is it only this website you have problems with, or is it with all websites?

how would i use mozilla....sorry probably stupid question but i'm IT stupid ::) do i click on it and it comes up how would it affect AOL which is what i use?
The other websites i log onto do seem to be slower but this one is the worse :-\

We use aol, too. We need to open aol to connect (at least used to when the box was programmed to be a modem) and then could open mozilla.
