moving... what to do about new bedroom?

hi fellow mommies!
my dh and i are soon going to be moving into a new house. my ds (20 months) will have his own room and i am due to have baby #2 in less than 7 weeks. the new baby will also have his/her own room around january - when we move him/hers from ours. since my ds is still in a crib and hasn't even considered ever climbing out, i'd like to keep him there as long as possible.

what should i do?
-should i decorate my ds's room as a big boy room (and still use the crib)?
or
-should i keep the nursery theme in ds's room until we move the new baby from our room to his/her own room sometime in january? and transition my ds to a big boy themed room and a big boy bed at the same time?

i don't want this big transition of a new place to live to be too much for ds, so any advice you could give would be most helpful!

We moved about 2 months ago and I just put everything that was in his room before into his new room.  I don't plan on transitioning into a bed for quite sometime, either, so i pretty much just re-did the nursery look.  I figured when we are ready for the big bed we will redecorate then.   I think the change of a new room is enough, might as well keep some familiar things for them.  On the otherhand, you might think you want to tackle everything at once....

I was shocked at how easily he transitioned to his new room.  We have the same sleep issues we always had! ha!  old room, new room, hotel room... didn't seem to make a difference to him.
