Plays upon waking

Hi there,
when my 5 mo old LO wakes up in the morning playing, should I just let him be?  The last 2 days he has been waking about 1.5 hours earlier than usual and I am unsure if I should go get him or wait for him to cry.  I have been going to get him after 10 minutes but I am secretly wishing that he goes back to sleep for a while longer.  His bedtime is around 8pm and he is now waking at 6:30am.

Hi there, I am wondering if he is starting to get over tired as he wont be getting enough sleep with the early wakings. What is your routine?
