Thanks so much for the reply and input. I have to read through it again to digest it all. Just a few quick comments:

Usually I deal a lot with these. This ends up causing A times to be rather long when you add them all up. I think.

Example: she woke today at noon and at 1pm started closing eyes and falling asleep with paci. It is now 2pm and  she has woken a few times and currently is wide awake. Two times she seriously needed my help because within 5 minutes she was letting out a burp and a little spit up. Which is definetely why she's waking to begin with. She's feeling uncomfortable and that's what wakes her up. Sometimes depending on how uncomfortable she is feeling it could take another 5 to 20 minutes for her to go back to sleep. But that isn't always the case. It's just that she is trying so hard to sleep sometimes and gas or her reflux keeps waking her up.

At night when she is moaning and groaning. I agree her being in other room would be better. I can't do that though :(. DH has to complete the room downstairs for my 1 1/2 year old and she's in the crib right now. Bummer. but if I don't get her up to either feed her if she's hungry or burp her to get a burp out of her - she'll just moan and wriggle until she starts fussing and will eventually start crying. It takes a little while for her to get to that cry state and thus I'm up the entire time. She tends to  be hard to burp during the middle of the night because she basically sleeps while feeding "keeps eyes closed". I sometimes just have to give up ....knowning she'll wake within an hour or 2 in need of a burp. Ahhhh

yeah, I can see how that can be frustrating.  The night stuff sounds a lot like what I was dealing with - dd moving/fussing, etc. and I couldn't sleep so I'd try and get her comfortable so she could, and then therefor I could.  Could you put her to sleep in a different room - not necessarily a bedroom?  Maybe put her in the living room or a room that is just a room away so that she wouldn't be right in your ear, and you wouldn't be quite so aware of all her baby noises.  You might be surprised at how little she'll wake and "need" you, and might just self soothe more to sleep.

Once we really started putting dd down to sleep in the same place every time, and moved her to her own room things were so much better.  I was letting her sleep in the swing, in the pak-n-play, the cradle, wherever, and she just didn't sleep well in any of those places.  As soon as we started doing the bassinet (and eventually the crib) for every sleep in a sleep inducing environment, where I couldn't see her (and hence intervene when she didn't need me) things were SOOO much better.  Using the monitor I could hear what I needed to hear, but some of the wiggling and moving around, I couldn't hear, and so we both slept better.  That's just our experience, and what worked for us.

Do you have a good wind down routine for sleep times?  That helped me get more consistent sleep out of dd as well.  Good luck, and keep me posted on how things go!

today is definetely a weird day. been up since noon and its 220. few cat naps. keeps waking and burping and now wants to eat. I keep trying to hold her off to make sure its not OT. its 220 now and she was EXTREMELY mad so I gave in and I'm feeding her now. She started her last feed about 2 hrs ago. Not sure how much A time she can do at this point. She just drank 2 oz within the last 5 minutes too. Sometimes she does this and I can barely get an oz in a half in her. That's why I try holding her off to make sure it's not other things. especially with her reflux

she ended up drinking 2.5 so she was hungry LOL. she seems to have over the average amount of growth spurts.

Have to agree with a lot of what Vadensmummy says. Not every baby sticks to the required wake up time and while they may appear tired they may not be tired enough to sleep hence fall into a cat nap. Ds was on 1.5 hours wake up time at about 10 weeks maybe even earlier. I found he could do 2 hours wake up in the morning then between other naps it was about 1.5, they have all now evened out to 2 hours.
Same goes for night time, maybe you could move her into another room and turn your monitor down low? I put mine to the minimum then put it in the sock drawer next to the bed , drawer closed so I only hear when ds really needs me, had a really hard time with him sleeping in my room. I know when I went to Ireland dd slept in what was going to be the ensuite of my room, some of the plumbing pipes were there but nothing else except her cot and she never slept so well, also in my sisters house she slept in a travel cot in the study so it doesnt have to be a bedroom. When dd was in hospital 2 weeks ago, we wheeled ds buggy into the bathroom so he could sleep in peace, not ideal but we got almost 2 hours nap out of him.

Hi,
A few things...
I agree with vadensmommy that you may be interfering too much.  If she is fussy or a little unsettled and squirmy I would leave her to work that out on her own.  Too much interference may teach her that she NEEDS you to help.

I still think waking twice at night to eat, at her age, is normal and healthy.  I wouldn't try to drop those feeds.  Because she woke at different times last night I would assume that she is waking from hunger and not habit.

I would work on your daytime routine. I know that has got to be tough with two under two. (Have you posted on that forum?)  I think 45 min naps are probably from overtiredness as opposed to undertired. Generally shorter than 45 means undertired and 45 means OT.

Are you swaddleing?  I can't remember.   :-[
Thoughts?

the poor girl. She fell asleep around 2:15pm and I brought her up to the bassinet. she woke up and I waited to see what she would do. She eventually started crying hard and I got her up. She burped and vomited a little.

Bless her little heart - have you looked at the reflux boards?  You probably already "live" there, I know I would.  And I know you probably have to go to her pretty quick once she does start to cry for fear of worsening the reflux or spit up when she gets upset.
