Hi there, hope you don't mind if I join in as my 9.5mth old DD is doing exactly the same thing! Everything used to be great, put her in her cot and off she goes to sleep but now its quite difficult and like you dbj I can see she is so tired and even trys to move and get up with her eyes closed! :) I end up having to hold her gently to just get her to stay still and relaxed. I am also having trouble with the pm naps, it does not matter if she sleep for 1 hr or 2. I just got her to sleep after 3 hours but it has been the shortest time this week that I have had to help her along a bit! I am having trouble with my DD getting up at 5am...but thats a whole different story...

Anyway just wanted to say hi, its nice, well not nice that we are going through it but nice to know you are not alone! :)

Hi, can I also join, I am having the same issue.  My lo is 9 months, he has just recently extended his A time to 3 1/2 hours almost 3 3/4.  His first nap is great, usually 2hrs.  but that pushes his second nap so late into the afternoon that I have to wake him or it will mess up bedtime.  Here is his schedule:
Wake: 6:30-6:45ish usually stays quiet in crib till 7:00am so I not always sure exactly when he wakes up.
Nap 1: 10:00ish even 10:15 to 12:00-or 12:15ish
Nap 2 3:30 he would go for 1hr. 30min but I wake him at 4:30 because his bedtime is 7:30

So, it is better to let him sleep as long as he want for the first nap and wake him for the second eventhough he is only getting an hour in the afternoon?? :)

Thanks for any advice!
Pam
