Well... I'm back!

The last couple of nights I had Josh down for 7:45pm and went to him at 10:30pm for his last feed. He is again waking around 2am and 4am ... and then 5:30am.... none of which to feed (7am feed better than before but still weakish).

At 2am... it was only a couple of minutes of  cry - not the mommy I need you cry. At 4am... it turned into the mommy I need you cry - I did Pu/Pd once and he went back to sleep. He piped up around 5:30 - but only for a minute and went back to sleep.

His feed at 10:30 last night was only for 15 minutes.... but he wasn't very hungry at 7:00am!

Now what? Arg:-)

It takes some time for babies to really learn to self soothe. It sounds like he is doing this mostly. I would try just staying with a good routine and being consistant and give it some time.

I agree with PP about him learning to self soothe.  Plus, he's had 4.5months of waking during the night, he is used to waking and being helped back to sleep (feed).  It should settle down soon.  If it doesn't you may want to try dropping the df completely but give it a while first to see how he does on his new routine of df at 10.30pm.

Don't forget he is only 4.5months.  DD was this age when she started to sleep through but a lot will still be waking to feed at 9months or more so hes doing well  :)
