Hello!

Well, i've taken your advice Layla and am trying to not stress about her sleep so much.  I think I'm just so worried we're going to go back to the terror we had this summer if we get too much off track!  But I think overall she's past that.  I hope!

She was back on track the next night after my last post, and has had a couple good days.  Now I'm fearing the time change.  I know people suggest taking it slow, putting lo's to bed a little later for a few days and they should wake up later....seems like when i get her to bed late she wakes up earlier!  I also think it's time to get her into a big girl bed in the next few weeks (maybe after she's somehow adjusted to daylight savings).  I just realized this morning we'll be taking trips to see family at the end of NOv to see family, and I don't think she'll fit in our pack-n-play very well (she's tall for her age).  But i don't fear it nearly as much as i did a few months ago.  We are able to communicate with her really well, so she'll understand the staying in bed rules and consequences.  Know any good stickys about either topics?  Time change, or moving to big beds?

Thanks for asking how we're doing over here!

Sarah, with time changes.... I found that rather than pushing bedtime I had better luck starting with the nap (the next day) & do it in about 20min increments & with it push bedtime. For about 3 days or so Isabella was still waking at the old time (5am) but I kept her up until the "new nap time" & she did start sleeping in later. Things usually even themselves out with time changes because meal times change as well as other activities they do (everything is brought forward).

Moving to big beds... don't know a thing about this :-[. There is a sticky on this forum (diary of a transition to big bed) ... or something like that.... so have a read through that. I'll have a look through the forum tomorrow for some more posts which might help you out.

 :)
