"A" time for 27mth old?
« on: December 13, 2007, 04:05:48 am »
I am desperately trying to solve a sleep issue. I was wondering what are the typical "A" times for 27mth old? We are bouncing back between 5-6hrs in the morning and 5-6 hrs before bed.

Mine is 30months but at about 27mo he would have been 6-6.5 hours in the AM (sometimes 7) & 5-6.5 before bed (he really only did 12 hours sleep in 24hours)... he is now pushing 8.5 before he will nap & sometimes 10, but can't get him to last 11 & give up a nap. My eldest who conversly was a higher sleep need child was doing about 5 & 5 at the same age.

5-6hrs is what my dd was doing too at that age. About 6-6.5 before nap & then about 5.5-6 before bedtime. The nap at that age for us was onyl 1.5 if not 1.25hrs long

Gage's Mom... he mostly only sleeps about 9-10 hours at night... why I can't wait until he can last a whole day with no nap.

Hi Natasha! Congrats on your gorgeous new addition! How does Catherine like being a big sister? We have been trying for some time now with no luck.  :'(  I haven't been on here a whole lot because I am back to work teaching and running after Gage as will not go to bed. I think Natasha has always slept a little more than Gage so maybe 6 and 6 is our answer.

I cant seem to keep Gage in his bed at night. I thought he was overtired, so I let him have a 2.25 hr nap and TRIED to put him to bed early.  Now I am paying as he is STILL awake. ??? Tomorrow I will try keeping him up 6 and 6 and limit nap to 1.5 on the nose. I am at my whits end!

Hi there. As you may have read we're having issues with DD (28 months) too but it definitely helps some to limit nap to 1.5 hours. Others have had to cut down to even 1.25. Good luck!
