Awake time 10weeks old
« on: December 26, 2007, 02:15:05 am »
I have read the FAQS section and it says at this age MOST babies have awake time of 1hr 15-30mins but i find my DD2 gets grumpy after 1hr most of the time sometimes 1hr 15mins and if i try and keep her up longer she gets OT and then watch out. She is touchy when it comes to sleep and often mantra cries for a few minutes when put down for sleep.
So how long is/was your LO's awake time around this age just like to compare?

All lo's are different and with any average, there has to be some lo's on either side of the average.  My lo always had less A times then everyone else and needed more sleep.
At this age my lo was aleep after only one hour of A time.

I would just focus on following your lo's cues and if 1 hour is all he can handle then I would be him down at 1 hour  :)

Hiya Natasha!

Ciara was only 1 hour at that age ... and until she was quite a lot older.  She was really touchy with sleep too so we were spot on the clock with her.

Callie is probably going anything from 50 mins to an hour 20.  She isn't so touchy with sleep so we go mostly with her cues rather than clock watch.

My LO could only handle about 45 min - 60 min at that age.  Watch the cues!  They'll tell the truth every time !  :D

We have noticed that our first sign of tiredness is not a yawn, but she starts kicking her legs and waving her arms like mad, I know then that she is tired, swaddle her and pop her down, she drifts off quite quickly then.
