We took the rail down on Chayse's crib so it's the closest thing to a big girl bed.
However, she fell out of it a total of 3 times last night. Of  course she cried and got up. I had to come into her room and put her back in her bed and tell her to go back to night nights. One time she hurt here lip a little. I think it might be a tad bit higher than the average toddler bed. We have it down to the lowest setting. Is it NORMAL for them to fall out of bed like this? Do they just naturally learn how not too?

Do you have  guardrail you can put on?  We did that with E when we moved him to his big bed and will with B as well.  I remember hearing that adults will only roll 180 when they sleep but kids will roll 360 and that is why they fall out of bed so easy.

We still have to use a bed guard on his bed because Ryan rolls around everywhere  . When he was in his cot we would find him more or less how we left him  ::)

I bought a guard rail today. It's doesn't fit crib beds though : (, but DH got it to fit (yeah).
It's for twins and higher. But it should do the job hopefully. I'm just going to put it up after Chayse falls asleep, not that I cant' before hand.
