Could LO have reflux?
« on: January 15, 2008, 06:04:23 am »
I have been reading some messages about reflux and can see some familiar signs but don't really know much about it. LO had, what we thought was bad colic from about 2/3 weeks. She wasn't that sick then but would only go to sleep on DH shoulder unright or in the sling, cried when we tried to rock er in our arms.  She always looked uncomfortable in pram and car sit (when she was little she was nearly horizontal in it). As she got older she started being sick more but only occasionally has it been projectile and usually there was some reason to put it down to -such as sucking fingers in mouth too far. She would also be sick if slept over about 7 hours and was hungery. She is BF but have had some problems, she used to squirm loads, pull off and cry etc. She is 19 weeks now and feeds much better but we now have sleep problems when napping (see earlier post), although she is fine over night once she has gone down.

Any thoughts?

Have you seen the reflux board?  There are lots of posts there and a Reflux 101 that will help you determine if your LO has classic symptoms.

Hi Nichola,

Thanks for that, yes she does have lots of the symptoms, no wonder she is so grumpy sometimes.
