I thought you had moved him to the bed?

My little guy does this too, it's such a nuisance! He "posts" it down the back of the cot or through the bars and then freaks out until he gets it back. I keep going in to give it back, like you meltown. Anyone have suggestions?

How quickly do you go in there and give it back if you do?  When our ds did that with his paci, it was a game and dh was determined not to give it back to him at all to teach him (it has been a very long time since he has done this), but basically when he would throw it out I wouldn't go back in there for quite a while as I gathered that he wasn't ready to nap when I put him down.  Usually if I left him in his crib, then went in there and gave it back to him after a while (and the most I could probably hold out for was about 15mins or so), he would usually be ready to sleep by then or be so appreciative to get it back he didn't do it again.  That seemed to work for us and it was only ever a short phase he went through.  HTH

I always wait at least 30 second before going in ever.  last night he was crying then stopping for a few seconds, crying stopping....ect.  so I was waiting a few minutes.  longest was maybe 10 min total.  he is starting to do it in the morning too.  we may tryt he BBB tonight because I can't take many more nights like last night.

Hey Melissa, I really think that these little things will settle down once Braxton is in his BBB for both day and night sleeps.  He may have just started throwing his lovey out of his crib as a game because he is a little confused about the different beds - just a thought.  However, you may find that his behaviour gets a little worse for a few nights once in the BBB (I really hope not), but then settles down.
Let me know how it goes if you put him in there overnight....  Good luck

I have been wondering the same thing!!!! My LO does it when I am doing toddler PD and we're still doing GW so I'm still in the room when he does it.
