I have exactly the same problem...Jessica my 4.3 month old will only sleep for 45 mins when she is in the stroller there is no chance of her having her normal 2 hour nap when i am out and about...

I am actually getting really stressed out as we are going on a 2 week vacation in 10days time. we are going to be with lots of friends from south africa that we have not seeen in ove a years time ... it is going to be an awesome holiday but if jessica doesnt nap in the stroller i am going to be locked up in the hotel room trying to get some naps in so we dont have a cranky baby or loose the routine too much...hey actually i am thinking i should post this in a new topic as i am going to hyperventilate soon thinking about breaking my routine because of this stroller nap issue...... I mean if she would JUST nap in the stoller at nap times that would be great... what am i going to do in the evenings when everyone goes out to dinner .. normally jess is tucked away in her cot from 7 -7.... hmmmmmmmmmmm panic panic panic!!!! Help please .

OH SORRY FOR INTRUDING ON YOUR POST :(

Yesterday was the shortest ever!!! we went out to meet other mum friends at the meadows in town and i started pushing her 30 minutes that it takes to get to town. At 25 min she slept and then she woke up after 10 MINUTES!! I panicked thinking 'now she is gonna be cranky', well she didn't and we ended up having a lovely afternoon, feeding the ducks and picnicking with friends and babies. She still slept from 7.30 till 7.
Jen114, I guess you'll have to miss out in South Africa or take in turns with DH, unless you can trust a friend to babysit. Have you thought of having a travel cot to have at your friends house, I do this when i go to visit my sisters in Manchester.
I hope someone comes out with a magic answer to this nap in the stroller issue!! Good luck to all.

Hi

i am so interested to know if anyone has been having any success with getting babies to nap out and about? (also hope you've all been having good trips and only in hotel rooms to sleep at night!)

I have recently got my LO napping really well  :D but only in his bed.  I am going back to work in a few months and want to make the most of our time together but i can only be outside the house for 3hrs at a time.

TIA
Laura
