Constipated 4mth old - how much cold water to help?
« on: June 13, 2008, 14:49:46 pm »
My wee one is constipated.  How much water should you be giving them?  Have tried google and none of the websites say.  If I give her too much it will fill up her tummy, too little will be no good...
She is exclusively formula fed.

She has been struggling for the last week I think (only 1 poo) and in some difficulty today as well  :(

Hi, I would try her with some boiled water, cooled down til it is warm and give her maybe 1/2 ounce 1st thing in the morning. You may need to give it to her for a couple of mornings. 1st thing is best as it will kick start her system.
