Constipation?
« on: June 20, 2008, 00:23:33 am »
My son Mason is 4 months and has moved from a 3hr EASY to a 4hr, and now he's getting constipated. I've tried giving him extra water but it doesn't seem to help. I know the health nurses are going to suggest giving him more feedings but the 4hr EASY is working so well I don't want to change it! He's not on solids yet so that is not causing it. Its so bad we had to give him a suppository last night.

Any help is appreciated!

I can't imagine that eating every 4 hours vs. every 3 hours is causing constipation.  Poor little thing :-* :-*
I of course could be completely wrong though  ;)
If the 4 hour EASY is working for you then don't change anything, :)
Keep offering more water...in between every feed.
It could just be his body going through a change and it's coinsiding with the move to a 4 hour EASY
My dd goes through stages like that all the time.
