Both after 2 yr for J, but because of allergies/botulism, not choking.  Isaac has had "cooked" honey from about 12 mo, but we're holding off PB for him for a while longer.  I've had all sorts of allergies & don't want to take the chance on him yet.  He's had tree nuts in stuff, though.

Thanks for all your replies!   I gave PB for the first time today--no choking! 
Dd loved it! 

It makes sense to me not to give a huge glob of it...that would make anyone sick!  But I think I'll stick to common sense and dd will be fine.   

Haven't tried the honey yet. maybe that will come next!  Anyone here give Agave nectar?
