restless mornings with 22 month old
« on: August 14, 2008, 13:20:31 pm »
I know that this seems very minor but my 22 month old has been a wonderful sleeper since we did sleep training at 9 months.... she usually sleeps straight thru the night 12 hours and then a 1.5-2 hour nap during the day... the last week or so she has been very restless in the early morning hours, moaning and crying out for as long as 10-15 mins ( I dont think that she is awake) settles on her own but does this off and on for the next couple of hours til I get her up or she wakes on her own... she has 5.5 hours A time before the nap and then 4.5-5 hours A time before bed... she goes to sleep independently, has a lovey and doesn't use a pacifier... she has all of her teeth except 2 year molars ( and they shouldn't be trying to come in yet should they)  I was  wondering if anyone has any ideas why or what I should do if anything)

I'll be interested to see if anyone has a definitive answer for you as to what this is about!

We've gone thru phases like this.  I've always found doing nothing is the best course -- doing something usually leads to actually them waking up all the way and then you can get into an EW habit.  22 months is when my son's 2 year molars started coming in, but here we are at 31 months and we're still waiting for the 4th one to finish.  ::)  I odn't think we're the only ones who have found that the 2 year molars are slow buggers that torture the LOs for a very, VERY long time.  :P

Wish I knew why they did this! But at our house, it usually lasts for a week or so and then he goes back to sleeping silently thru the night.
