Wind down routines
« on: December 29, 2008, 15:47:32 pm »
Hi all, sorry another post!! I just wondered what other peoples wind down routines are, mine is currently nappy change, into sleeping bag in cot, look at a picture book and then gentle talk until lo falls asleep. I think it needs some tweaking so any suggestions would be great, lo is 11 weeks x

As you become more clear about who you really are, you'll be better able to decide what is best for you - the first time around

I was thinking about opening the same post  ;D

Ours is: change diaper, turn on white noise, turn on night light, turn off big light, swaddle, gentle talk, shh/pat walk around the room until drowsy and rubbing face on my shoulder, put down in crib, shh/pat until asleep

I sit DS on my lap facing outwards and give him his dummy for a few minutes. Then I get out his naptime story book, just a soft padded cloth book that is not bright coloured, only 6 pages. We touch it and look at it and play with it until he starts rubbing his eyes or yawning. Swaddle, hum tunes on the way upstairs, kiss and into his cot!
