Hi,
I need serious help! My lo has been a good sleeper and he could settle down himself at night; we had some sleep issues but nothing like now!!
We went on holiday to my country and for the first 2 weeks he was sleeping thought the night, he had EW due to the time difference. By the 3rd week he started screaming at bedtime and waking up at night, he called me all the time. At that time I though it might be SA but it continue until we came back. Now he is still waking at night and crying very loud!! He is 11 months now and he can stand up so its not easy to resettle him again, as every time I leave the room he will cry and stand up.

We used to settle him and leave the room and come back to try to settle so he learned how to settle him self but know is very difficult.

When we where on holiday we were in different places so he had different cots, people..etc so I don't know if that affected him because I was the only person he knew!

I feel very frustrated because I thing it was might fault but i can't continue like this...in my country I have my family to help to look after him if I was too tired but now i am by own as DH works!!

I hope you can give an idea what is wrong with my baby...and what I can do??

Thank u!!

Delia

Just some ideas to think about...when we went away for the holidays, our kids were WAY more stimulated than they are at home, where things are familiar, more mellow, etc.  We had relatives in their faces all the time, lots of activities, new things to explore, so it tired them out faster.  (we have a 2 yr. old and 5 month old).  Both kids needed less A time for naps due to this overstimulation, and we had to adapt to keep them rested.  Perhaps your baby had a similar experience of getting tired out more quickly, and led to an accumulation of OT-ness which started to affect night sleep?  How are naps right now?

I have no idea if this is at all relevant in your case, but you might try reducing A time just a bit for a while, and see if that improves things at all?

I hope you get some other ideas too...
