HELP...Relapse
« on: January 20, 2009, 13:42:58 pm »
My daughter is 10 weeks old and has relapsed. For the past few days, when I put her in her crib she screams.  I pick her up, pat and sh sh and put her down when calm, but nothing.  I have to do this until she passes out from exhaustion. Am I reading her tired signs wrong? I bring her upstairs when I see the first yawn and wind down with her. Am a supposed to put her in her crib at the first yawn?  Also, napping lasts for 45 minutes and I have tried everything to put her down again. I sooth her in my arms and as soon as I put her in her crib, she is wide awake and begins to smile.  What am I doing wrong?  Is is normal for infants to relapse?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi there!  Can you post your routine in EAS format so we can see what the average day looks like for you?  I wonder if she's waking happy after 45 minutes if maybe she's ready for more A time.  This happens as they grow and develop, here's a link to guide you on the average A times for babies: http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=64158.0
