At my son's nursery, they don't even have cots. They have fold-out mats (each child has their own), which they lay out on the floor downstairs in the quiet room. The same room has shelves full of toys, they play down there when nobody is napping.
I don't know how they do it, but they get the kids to stay on their mats and sleep down there. They all nap at different times, too, so there are comings and goings. It took my son a couple of weeks to get into the swing of napping at nursery, but he got there in the end.
IMO, there's no much you can do to prepare her for it. The preparation is for you!! To understand that for the first few weeks she will be very tired and need a lot of early nights, and to accept that she may well end up having two very different routines - one for home and one for nursery. It's a stressful transition, starting nursery, but she will figure out how to get the rest she needs there, in time.
