swaddling for naps.
« on: February 02, 2009, 11:08:35 am »
Hi im new to this site.
My 4 month old little girl would always nap in her rocker chair but I've started to try to get her to nap in her cot. For the first few tries she would scream and scream......then i just swaddled her and gave her her dummy. In her chair she would have 30 minutes but now she is having about an hour or longer each time, which is a good improvement. Im just concerned that Im introducing a new habit with the swaddling. Should I just put her in a gro bag for her naps like nighttime? Im confused now.

It's fine to keep her in her swaddle for now - when she gets bigger and stronger she might start to 'break out' of it, at which point you can wean it gradually.

Great that she's having such good naps in her cot!! Well done!!
