Help!
« on: March 29, 2009, 19:50:04 pm »
My LO is 10months, eats well and is having 12oz Aptimil Easy Digest formula.

Until 4nights ago everything was fine... He woke up at 22:00 screaming and didn't stop until after midnight! The same happened again yesterday but earlier, and tonight he's woken 2 times already. We thought it was teething pain waking him. But I've noticed he's getting what seems to be stomach cramps and really terrible wind!!

I would like to know some mild foods that would be good to give him to see if it settles down... It's obviously upsetting him.

He's had baked beans and fish fingers for the first time this week which I think may be causing the problem...

So, any food or drink (fennel tea?) Andyone can suggest?? Thanks :) x

Usually with tummy upset, its recommended that you go on a BRAT diet to settle things down.  Banana-Rice-Applesauce-Toast.  Its best for diarrhea, but its worked for our DS when he was vomiting and had painful tummy wiht the flu.  Beans are notorious for causing gas.

I agree.  If his stomach is sensitive to gas causing foods, then avoid beans, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, onion.  Try teas with peppermint, chamomile or fennel to relieve gas pain.

hope he feels better soon.
