If he wakes early from nap I would definitely see if you can get him resettled. If he wakes up happy and playing though and it doesn't look like he's going to fall back asleep, there's not much you can do. Just get him up, juggle his feeds as needed and shorten the next A time a bit since he had a short nap.

We are much better thank you. This week we have only had one night when he was grumpy and didnt sleep through, I am putting that down to food as it was the first time he'd had swede, he was being sick quite a lot and bad wind / stomach ache all day.   Apart from that his naps are better - 2 hours at 9am, upto 1½ at 1pm and 45 mins at 4.30pm and he is sleeping through until 6am.   :D

Thank you to everyone for your help. 

I am back at work today so LO's Dad has now taken over.  Everything has gone OK today, fingers crossed everything will stay that way.
