Silly questions about Carbohydrates!
« on: April 26, 2009, 10:31:30 am »
Hi Guys,

This is a really silly question, but I am just after making cauliflower, courgette and carrot in a white cheese sauce, Just realised there are no carbohydrates in it - should I add potatoes - does a 13 month old need carbohydrates at each meal - he will eat this for his lunch - followed by a yogurt - and then have adult food for dinner.

All answers appreciated!

Maybe there's a bit of carbs if you used flour for the cheese sauce but minumum I imagine. I think as a rule they should have some carbs at every meal but once in a while without if fine.

Could you serve it with some pasta or rice?  Sounds nice to me!

There are some in there, but not lots. If you're desperate a piece of bread is quick too. :) Carrots, corn, peas as well.
