This may be a silly question...
« on: April 19, 2009, 13:43:50 pm »
My lo is 5 1/2 months and I have been giving her 1 tablespoon of cereal in the morning.  Now, when do I increase the amount?  Also, when I introduce veggies, do I begin with a tspn then increase to a tbpsn? I am confused on how much she should eat.

thanks

Have you been to wholesomebabyfood.com? It has tons of info on introducing solids, how much to feed them, etc.  Even if you're not making your own food, it's a great resource.

Have a read through the FAQs as it has lots of suggestions to how, when and what to offer when introducing solids.  Just remember that bm/formula is still the most important source of nutrition for optimal brain and body growth.  Solids is just for taste and fun until 12 mos.  The best way to introduce solids is to follow your lo lead and to take it slow.  For now, offer milk first then solids to ensure that your lo is ready the proper nutrition.

Have fun and have the camera ready!
