NAP HELP
« on: August 28, 2009, 15:12:42 pm »
My 8 month old used to take long naps and they were about the same time everyday. Since he turned 7 months his naps have been, well not really happening. His morning naps; he acts tired and goes down sometimes with a fight sometimes not and they usually last about 30-45 minutes and it is impossible to get him back to sleep. Sometimes he won't nap at all. His afternoon naps are around 12p-2p. If at all sometimes. It is very frustrating when he naps for 30 mins or not at all-all day.  And when we run out to do errands he will sleep in the car but even then it's not a restful sleep because he wakes up when we get to our destination. I don't want this to become a habit. I am at wits end.... I need help pleeeeeease. Thank you
ANY ADVICE????

Hi mainemom, hang in there, are you on EASY?  Could you post your current routine for us in EAS so we can all take a look and try to help you pinpoint where the problem lies.  30 min naps are usually OT and 45 mins can mean UT - perhaps your LO is ready for more A time or ready to change up length of morning nap etc.  Where do you normally nap him, in the crib?  Do you have a wind down for naps and what does it consist of?

If we can see your whole day including waketime and bedtime it will help us to help you :-)
The tweaking never stops!
