Reducing feeds
« on: November 18, 2009, 14:49:10 pm »
Just wondering what others did when reducing day feeds? My LO is nearly 10 months and has just dropped her mid-morning feed (was previously 7am-ish, 11.30am-ish, 4pm-ish and 7.30pm-ish).  Now I'm not sure if I should bring the 4pm feed earlier, as it seems a long time with no milk (she eats very well and will take sips of water throughout the day, so maybe it's just a long time for me not her, IYKWIM???) Also - if I bring the feed earlier, it will be before her pm nap and we have been working to break the bf + sleep association. Any ideas?

Can you offer a bf at lunch time? With my dd she used to bf for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and again sometimes before bath, but always just before her solid food. When she eliminated a bf we replaced it with a solid food snack and always offered a sippy of water.
