Question abt CN
« on: November 17, 2009, 16:47:09 pm »
Hi ladies,

My lo i 5 months old & most of our days we have short naps, so he's recently been having a long CN, abt 1~1.15 hrs...not catlike I guess. Do you think this could be affecting his sleep at night?

I sometimes find that we have like 3 hrs till bedtime & am forced to let him sleep, so as not to be OT?

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

If he has short earlier naps and a longer catnap, I wouldn't think that would affect his nighttimes, because the total amount of daytime sleep will be the same as if he had longer earlier naps and a shorter catnap iyswim.

I agree with Anna...if he has a bad nap day, let him go longer for that catnap :)  It all depends on what your day looks like as a whole.  It sounds like you know how you need to make adjustments to your LO's day so that you avoid the OT monster at bedtime!  That's wonderful :)

Thx ladies, just figured that the sleep issues that we've been having were actually due to me doing some AP, wheer I'd hold lo to sleep & then put him down as I am trying to extend his A times but still afraid he's get OT, so started holding him to get him to drift off quicker...!

Working on fixing that..:)
