Just been slowly introducing solids to DS the past 2 weeks.  He seems quite thirsty after them.  Is it best to give milk or offer some cool boiled water.  I should add we live in Oz and it is 37 degrees here so he is really hot as well!

I offered water in a lidded cup along with solids when dd and ds started weaning.

We did the same with both kids - introduced a sippy of water with meals. They didn't drink too much at first and took a while to be able to tip the cup for themselves but had fun trying! With DD we use an open doidy cup which she loves and drinks really well out of (with mummy keeping a firm grip!)
