I see your point. It is an adjustment period.
Her first A is 4 hours and 45min and she goes to sleep instantly.  This morning, it was difficult to keep her up. I am assuming it was because the various wake up in the early morning hour.
Bedtime varies between 4hrs and 40min -5hours. She normally chats a little here.  Tonight, we were out for a birthday party and came home a little later then expected. Her total A was 5hours and 10min. I hope I didn't push her too much and we get an EW tomorrow. :-\

Hope Madi settled OK for you last night  :-*.

I'm now finding unless J sleeps 2.5hrs we get bad nights - but at the moment I can't seem to get more than 1.5hrs out of him.

So sorry to hear! I can imagine your frustration. HUGS. :-*  Madi was moaning from 3am-7am when she woke up. I am not sure if it is teething! I kept hearing her all night.  :-\
I moved her nap earlier today and aiming for a CN later.

Hi ladies, me and DS seem to be in the same place as you and I wondered if I could jump in and ask your advice?  I know DS is teething and we are getting major bedtime refusals but I don't know if its discomfort or UT?  He is doing 4.5/4.75 A time in the am, a 2.5 hour nap, and then I'm trying bedtime at the 5.25/5.5 hour mark.  He is usually a pretty independent sleeper.  I'm giving him meds, and our bedtime routine, although new (because I stopped breastfeeding), has been in place for going on three weeks.

Of course you can jump in.
Madi had two naps yesterday, totalling 2hrs and 15min.  She slept all night and I had to wake her this morning. I am wondering if she was a little Ot the other day.

Hi Jaspers Mum  :). Have you tried a little earlier? 5.5 hrs is a lot at this age only shortly after completing the 2-1. Now J does it accidentally quite a lot after bad naps - but too much of it does make him get OT and gives shorter nights.

And how long has your lo been on 1 nap for?

Feels like we take one step forward and two steps back with this one nap.  Today, she was so tired, even with a 11.5hour night, I had to put her down earlier. I am going to aim for two naps today.

Hi Liz,

I haven't really tried earlier but maybe I should . . He's been on one nap for about 3-4 weeks.  I wonder if its SA too?

I just put him to bed after 5.25 hours A time and he got upset the minute I put him in his cot and went to start reading him a book.  He shakes his head, screeches and wants to run out of the room.  Its horrible!!  That's what makes me think he needs more A time, especially after a 2.5 hour nap.

Sabrina, sorry to hear about your two steps back . . at least you are getting a good 11.5 hour night.  Often when they sleep more they seem more tired!  Bizarre!

I think this is part and parcel of the last stages of the 2-1.  It's frustrating, but totally normal. I learned that for me, the best thing was not so much being able to figure out what I was supposed to do but more in having some fall-back strategies for recovering from a day gone wonky, iykwim.

sometimes it feels her routine has gone wonky.

Today she woke up at 7:15am so I am aiming for a one nap day.

Good luck JaspersMum!
