Adjusting A time after waking baby early from a nap
« on: March 09, 2010, 13:57:42 pm »
My five month old LO can manage about 1h20 to 1h30 A time.  I know this is short for his age but he seems to need the sleep.  I have to wake him from his nap early to take his brother to nursery, so after a 45min nap, how long an A do you think he would need next time?  we tried 1h today and have ended up getting him back up... i cannot decide if he is over or under tired!

Today, he woke from this nap at 12:30, although started to change cycles and go back to sleep (thumb sucking!) but I had to get him out at 12:40.  we were home by 1:15 and he was already tired!  I still had his solids to feed him etc and he went in at 12:35!  he is struggling with the nap and it is now just after 2!  25 mins and not gone off yet!

Does anybody have any thoughts as to haw much A he should make???  I would like to work out that sweet A for this nap!

Hi I'm going to lock this post so that we can talk about all the issues in one place  :).

I think your LO is UT at the start of the day and then getting OT after the short naps - but we can discuss properly on the other thread.

Please follow along here if you have any advice for Mosh
