W2S
« on: March 23, 2010, 17:23:51 pm »
I had a questions about W2S.  My LO has been on 1 nap for almost a month now.  When we first started she was taking 1hr15min naps ON THE DOT.  So it was suggested we do W2S and it worked great.  We get 1hr45min-2hr naps.  I did it for 3 or 4 days and when I didn't do it the next day she woke at 1hr15min.  I've now been doing it for 6 days.  How long should it take for her to get over the 1hr15min schedule or will I always need to do W2S?

Bummer, I thought she would have elongated by now.  I think in theory no, you shouldn't need to still do it.  But then again, if it's working...lol

All right, so for the last week I've been doing W2S and it's working.  So I decided not to do it today and she woke at 1hr 15min.  What gives??  Am I really going to need to do W2S for as long as she naps?  I put her down after 5hrs A time today.  However, yesterday she went down after 5.5hrs A time (we were at church) and she slept 2hrs 10min on her own WITHOUT W2S.
So should I being working on going for a longer A time in the morning?

Yep.  I think she's telling you.  She can go back down but it sounds like that nap is UT - your intervening is simply sending her back off.

I agree. Sounds like an extension in A time is needed! :)
