That sounds ok - he's getting what he needs. You could always try offering a third bottle somewhere in the day and if he takes it great, if not you know he's getting enough.

Ohhh well I am giving in to DS wants...
He wants the bottle then doesn't then does etc etc...
Basically I'm making up 4 bottles per day and offering them for a few minutes, what ever he refuses or knocks back I try to add to his solids as much as I can.
He drinks water from the bottle fine, will eat milky solids, have milk fed to him in a spoon or syringe and open his mouth for more?????
I'm making sure he's totaling a minimum 500mils of milk in a day in feeds and meals/solids and anything extra is a bonus!
I'm taking a bottle of water in to the bedroom as well as his milk for him for his last bottle at 7.30pm, this way if he refuses the milk he can at least have fluids.
I'm also calorie counting for DS (thanks so much for that suggestion muddyfeet).
He's just such a happy baby and sleeping well so I best just stop worrying!

Just thought I'd update...The milk strike has stopped! Hmmm...
He's been drinking around 700mls over 4 x bottles for about 9days now!
Still eating solids and drinking water and having snacks too, I'm relived! Phewww...

Talk about turn around! DS has decided he doesn't like lumpy food anymore? He holds it in his mouth and wont swallow it! How strange..he was doing very well with his solids!
He wants only puree, finger food and milk now...(Sighhhh) I think I just need to go with the flow!
As long as he still drinking the milk and having some solids I guess. Spirited touchy little thing he is! hmmmm
