now napping too much, maybe affecting sleep ?
« on: April 07, 2010, 13:55:48 pm »
hi

after abit of a battle, tyler is able to nap in his cot bed and self settle. yesterday he napped at 7.30-8.30am, catnap for 30mins at 11, 2 hour nap at 1.30 (which i had to wake him from), and catnap again at 4.30pm

but the night then was horrendous with wakings at 9, 12, 3, 4 and then at 5.  could it just be he doesn't need that much nap time ?

Hi Sarah :)

Usually multiple NWs indicate overtired.  Could you post what his day looked like for yesterday or today?

Also, how old is he?

Hi, I'm only new to this forum, but have been reading things all day and from experience he may be OT, maybe try cutting down his awake times. I have a 18 week old to, and she can only stay up for max 1 hr 45, any longer she will catnap. But then it all goes on his tired signs to hey.... Maybe try a winddown period for 15 minutes after he has been awake for 1hr 40, and then have him in bed at 1hr 55min. You may have it all worked out now, but just incase.
Hope this helps
