Do we have to do cluster feedings and df?
« on: May 20, 2010, 03:13:55 am »
Right now I am just looking to establish a routine for my sanity and EASY really appeals to me. My baby is 5 weeks old and waking 2-3 times a night. I'm not sure I want to do cluster feeding and df. I think I just want to follow EASY 7 to 7 so I have some kind of routine and can follow my baby's cues. Who else does this? Does it work?

No you don't have to do it - you can just start a 7-7 routine and accept that the night wakings for food will last a little longer.

I never did either TBH  :) :-*

I started the df around 3 months once my little one was already sleeping long stretches at night (7-9h). We used to keep her up until 9 and she was miserable so the df appealed to us. It took a week of her waking at 5h to get used to the new feed but after a week she started sttn with the earlier bedtime. She is now 6 months and we will soon look at taking the df away...
