3.5 EASY...what should it look like?
« on: May 23, 2010, 15:11:11 pm »
Hi

I am doing a 3.5 hour EASY. My LO (4 months) has her first feed around 8am. What should my day look like? Below is a typical day and I am curious to know if I am on the right track. Also, I am still cluster feeding at 6:30 & 8:30. Should I be doing that or phasing that out?

E 8:00

S 9:45

E 11:30

S 1:15

E 3:00

S 4:45

E 6:30
A
S   cat nap sometimes works and sometimes doesn't at this time

E 8:30
A very short
S pretty much as soon as the feed is done

Thanks

Hi alexgrant

I'm in a bit of a rush so I can't have a close look at your routine but here is a link to some sample routines http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=164253.0

IMO it fine to continue cluster feeding - I still do this at 8 months. The CN never worked for us and a lot of LOs start to drop it at this age too, IMO if it works do it but if its a battle forget it and do early BT.

Let me know if you need more guidance then this, am happy to help x

Hi

Thanks for your response. I have looked at the link in the past and although it has been useful, I would love it if you get a chance to just take a look at my EASY to see if I am on the right track or if there are changes that I should make. She pretty much keeps to a 3.5 EASY except when we get closer to the evening and then it changes a bit.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex

Your routine looks totally textbook perfect. I really can't add anything at all. Are there any particular concerns you have? I guess if you feel to your could have a look at the routines coming up for the next age group and prepare yourself whats to come. the first thing that will probably happen is she will start to move towards a 4 hour eating schedule. It seems like you have a textbook or angel baby - so hopefully this transition will be smooth - just keep an eye out for her signs and if you start to stretch A times remember to do it in increments over a few days to allow time for her to adjust. At 6 months there is a big growth spurt which means she may need to eat a little more frequently and might have a few night wakings for a few days. Finally, please come back here if you have any doubts or questions or think you can help some other parents. We're here for you! xxx
